The Silver Six 5K Run/1K Walk

 The Rainbow Society would like to extend a special thank you to a group of six grade 12 students, enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program at Silver Heights Collegiate. "The Silver Six" comprised of Dana Mackie, Alyssa Senecal, Mardi Edgar, Twyla Nay, Claire Unruh, and Courtney Thompson, raised just over $2,000.00 through a 5K Run/1K Walk Fundraiser in support of The Rainbow Society.
The Silver Six present Grace Thomson, Executive Director, with a cheque for $2,253.00 to help make a dream come true!
 Police Patrolmen and Oldtimers' Hockey Challenge

A great big THANK YOU goes out to the Winnipeg Police Patrolmen Hockey Club for making The Rainbow Society their charity of
choice, once again, for the Oldtimers' Hockey Challenge held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at MTS Centre.
We would also like
to extend our sincere gratitude to Xentel DM Incorporated and the NHL Oldtimers for
making this event a victory for The Rainbow Society. Because of your support, we “netted” close to 20,000.00 to make dreams come true!!! The Rainbow Society would also like to thank all of the fans, program advisors, and
our wonderful volunteers for supporting this fantastic event and “scoring a win”
for The Rainbow Society.

 Safeway "We Care" Campaign

Thanks so much to Crestview Safeway for choosing The Rainbow Society as their charity of choice for this wonderful campaign. From January through March, an amazing $31,817.06 was raised to help make a dream come true for Tanis, and other children suffering from a physical or mental disability.
 Tanis is a sweet 16-year-old girl with a contageous smile! Unfortunately, she is afflicted with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and she is quadriplegic. Tanis dreams of going on an airplane for the very first time and visiting Disney World with her family. Thanks to Crestview Safeway and their employees and customers, along with The Rainbow Society and our volunteers, Tanis' dream is about to come true!
The winner of the raffle held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 was Cam Tumber, ticket # 000088.
The winner of the raffle held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 was Dennis Tam, ticket # 000021.
Each winner received $100.00 worth of lottery tickets!

Thank you to 7- ELEVEN for choosing The Rainbow Society to receive funds from their coin canister program in February 2008. You raised a slurpeelicious amount of $2,172.46 to help make a dream come true!

children suffering from a life-threatening illness.
