 Mission
and Mandate
The Rainbow Society is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated
to fulfilling the favourite dreams of Manitoba children suffering
from a life-threatening illness.
The Rainbow Society's Mission Statement is:
To provide the opportunity for Manitoba children ages 3 to 17,
who are suffering from a life-threatening illness, to experience
a special dream.
The Rainbow Society's goals and objectives are:
- To grant the request of every dream child.
- That the dream be in the best interest of the child.
- To include the dream child's immediate family in the completion
of the dream if possible.
- To fulfill the dream outside of a hospital environment whenever
possible.
- To maintain the dignity of our dream children and their families in any publicity. Any publicity done featuring our dream children and their families is done with their complete consent. However, there is no obligation placed on the family to participate in any publicity.
