Volunteer
Opportunities
Please view our 2010 Schedule of Events.
The Rainbow Society relies on the dedication
and commitment of our volunteers. We are governed by a volunteer
Board of Directors, who give so generously of their time. In addition
to this, The Rainbow Society has a dedicated core of volunteers who lend support in a variety of ways. Although our volunteers do not directly interact with the dream children, we could not make dreams come true without their outstanding support.
Our major fundraising events, such as the Annual
Auction, Golf Tournament of Dreams, and Wear Green for a Dream, are organized
by volunteer committees. We also have other
fundraising events where we require volunteers to help out, and we would call you prior to the event
to see if you are available.

Additional volunteer hours are required outside of the meetings. Being a Fundraising committee member is a great opportunity to do something positive for others and at the same time sharpen your networking skills. Fundraising Committees typically meet monthly with more meetings closer to the event date.

Volunteers are most frequently required to provide assistance at the many events in which The Rainbow Society is involved. Not all events are lavish or large, some are very small and some are for public awareness purposes as opposed to fundraising. Whether it is a large scale event or a small 3rd party event they are all of equal importance to The Rainbow Society.
