The Rainbow Society relies on the dedication
and commitment of our volunteers. We are governed by a volunteer
Board of Directors, who give so generously of their time. In addition
to this, The Rainbow Society has a dedicated core of volunteers who lend support in a variety of ways. Although our volunteers do not directly interact with the dream children, we could not make dreams come true without their outstanding support.
Our major fundraising events, such as the Annual
Auction, Golf Tournament of Dreams, and the
Ultimate Golf Marathon, are organized
by volunteer committees. We also have other
fundraising events where we require volunteers to help out, and we would call you prior to the event
to see if you are available.
Committee Volunteer
Currently, The Rainbow Society has 3 Special Event committees to
help coordinate our 3 major fundraising events: the Annual Auction,
Golf Tournament of Dreams, and The Ultimate Golf Marathon.
The Auction, Golf Tournament, and Ultimate Golf Committee Members meet monthly
and assist in conceptualizing, planning and coordinating each event.
If you want to have fun and help out on a regular basis, a Rainbow
Society Special Event Committee may be the choice for you!
Event Volunteer
Throughout the year, The Rainbow Society holds events, or is the charity
of choice for numerous events, for which we require volunteers. These activities may include anything from
setting up and taking down displays, accepting and/or soliciting
for donations, selling 50/50, auction or draw tickets, greeting
and/or seating guests, distributing brochures, registering invites,
monitoring a display booth and much, much more.
As an event volunteer, we wil call you several weeks prior to an event to see if you are available. Most of our volunteers are in this category and although we have fun together, we
expect our volunteers to be professional at all times.
In The Office
The Rainbow Society office is always hectic; therefore, if you
have time available during the day, we could use your help. We have
numerous mail-outs throughout the year, so extra hands folding,
stuffing and sealing are a dream come true for the office! We can
also use help with general administrative duties, like photocopying,
filing, etc.
